Game of Thrones is slowly going to become the show that is renowned for ending their episodes on cliff hangers.

So the Jon Snow resurrection.

I mean a large part of me always knew Melisandre would do her fire magic and bring him back but I had my doubts. I definitely did not expect the resurrection to happen so early in the season though. I guess it just means the rest of the season will unfold very interestingly.

Given that Sansa, Brienne and Podrick are heading for Castle Black, I believe Sansa and Jon will team up and hopefully win Winterfell back!

Theon will also be heading to the Iron Islands where I believe the election for a new ruler will take place, I think I remember reading that in A Feast for Crows? Hopefully, Yarra/Asha Greyjoy reins supreme.

I think this episode did a very good job of putting all the characters on set paths for the season.

Of course another big WTF moment was the death of Lord Bolton. I mean I expected it to be honest, Ramsay would never hug someone without stabbing them come on. I was mostly traumatised by him setting the dogs on Lady Walda and the child, I mean that man settles at nothing.

We’re starting to see the tension build between the High Sparrow and the Lannisters, and we also get a peak at the Mountain’s strength in this episode so that will span out interestingly.

The interaction between Tyrion and the Dragons added a bit of sarcasm and a lighter tone to all the heavier things going on in the episode. Yeah, I didn’t beleive for a second the dragons would kill him but it’ll be interesting to see what they do now that they’re unchained.

Let’s talk about Bran’s visions. I’m glad the story has finally traveled that far North. The only purpose I can imagine for the show writers to show the viewers that vision of Winterfell back in the days is:

-The episode was about home and finding your way back sort of so it set the scene by showing what Winterfell looked like in the happier days, and what a sense of belonging looks like I guess,

-To provide foreshadowing for when Benjen Stark appears later in the show or if they do decide to go with the Lyanna Rhaegar theory.

-To give a backstory for Hodor, I mean something has obviously happened between him being that little boy to now and it might play a crucial role in the show?

I realise this post was very rambly and prediction filled but that’s literally my reaction to this week’s episode. Let’s take it to the comments sections from here!

Reaction | The Red Woman

It’s that time of the year again. Oh yeah, the articles are streaming out, the predictions are at an all time high and I”m here to add my voice to it.

Obviously this post contains spoilers about the Season 6 Premiere of Game of Thrones so don’t read it if you don’t wanna spoil it for yourself blah blah.

The opening scene of the Season well and truly establishes that yes, Jon Snow IS dead.

We lose all hope of a recovery when even melisandre seems at a loss but the fact that the body is still there, even if it there to give rise to the anger that will finally bring down Thorne, the fact that the body is there gives me a teensy bit of hope.

Moving Norther, Podrick and Brienne killed it! I can’t wait to see what the Squad gets up to this season starting by kicking some Bolton ass.

This episode was mainly centered on setting the scene as is the case with most season premieres of Game of Thrones.

My predictions made in this post about Dany having to live her days out in Vaes Dothrak are true however, as probability has it, Ser Jorah and Daario will probably fix that pickle up. I quite enjoyed the friend-zone talk Daario and Jorah had to be honest.

I feel like Arya will learn how to fight blindly and that will be her redemption later in the season.

The Dorne Situation was probably the most stupidest thing. Prince Doran’s death did come as a surprise but then again what do you expect from those women?

I was hoping Trystane would be smart enough NOT TO TURN HIS BACK ON HIS ENEMY. Like jeez you really expect these salty bitches to have any sense of honour?

Bits and bobs of the episode aside, let’s address the elephant in the room. Melisandre’s revealing, that was the most satisfying and shocking and Game of Thrones thing about the episode. I found a great article from EW explaining the whole process and theory behind it and all I’m gonna say at this point is that, it’s kind of expected but I’m interested to see where it goes from here for her character.

While the season premiere was no Oscar-winning movie, it set the scene quite successfully for the action, drama and suspense that is to follow in the season. There are definitely better things ahead. By that I mean more people dying.

Reaction | Game of Thrones Season Finale

Welcome to the episode where literally everybody dies!

But seriously, what a finale. Beware, there are some MAJOR SPOILERS in this post so read ahead at your own risk.

I’m gonna be listing my Top 10 WTF moments so here goes

10] The End of Stannis

The episode started at a pretty low point, what with Stannis’ wife committing suicide. Poor Stannis, literally everyone deserted him and then he got outnumbered but wait

Of course Brienne had to come in! She gave him a pretty honourable death but I can’t help thinking, is this it for Stannis? I mean he sure didn’t go out with a bang

9] The Mountain is back!

When he strode in and carried Cersei I was like woah, some serious Frankenstein shiz going on here

8] Bad Timing

I love how just as Sansa decides to light a candle in the highest tower, Brienne just abandons post to go kill Stannis. I mean. Bad timing. Why! but we find out why because…

7] Theon

So finally. Finally Theon decided it was high time he help Sansa. When he pushed Myranda over I was like

But then he decided to be all knight-in-shining-armour and jumped off the building with Sansa. I mean were they hoping the snow would cushion their fall or something? For the show’s sake I hope they’re alive

6] Daenerys

I’ve read the books so I knew where Dany’s story line was heading. The obvious ambush from the Dothraki. But where was Drogon when like 50 000 horses were circling Dany?

I actually predicted what might happen with Dany and the Dothraki in my predictions post here

5} House of Black and White

The whole Jaqan H’ghar death thing was TOO CLOSE.

But then it gets weirder with Faceless vooodoo magic

And to top things off Arya goes blind. I know it happens in the books as well but it was still freaky

4] Kiss of Death

As soon as Ellaria kissed Myrcella I was like

I KNEW IT. Myrcella and Jaime are having this father-daughter moment and BAM. The poison starts working. This is officially war.

3] Gore overload

Having watched Game of Thrones for quite a while now, I like to think I’ve acquired a certain tolerance to gore but this episode just threw that out the window. Remember this?

This seems almost gentle compared to what Arya did to Meryn Trant. Oh Lord, I felt physically sick and the thought that she’s just a little girl makes me even sicker. But well done to the makeup artists, you achieved your goal!

2] Walk of Shame

It’s good that they kept this scene till the very end because now I have a year to recover until I see Cersei again. Whoever directed this episode did a very very good job of emphasising just how humiliating this whole thing was. I mean my God, they call this mercy?

I’m still emotional over this. So emotional that I can’t even write it. I can’t okay. just

Jon Snow

Is Dead

My soulmate oh! And yeah I know he’s not really dead because I believe Melisande will do some Fire God magic and he’ll wake up and be a Targaryen maybe.

But just the way it was done. He protected those people! He thought the best of them especially freaking Oli and they stabbed him right in the gut? disgusting

I’m still a bit overwhelmed over the whole episode. It was a very emotionally provoking finale, unlike anything Game of Thrones has done before.

This might just be the last time I’m posting a Game of Thrones reaction post for a while so I just wanna say, these were fun to do. And I managed to react to all the episode for the season. I hope you enjoyed them too!

Deadly and debunked Game of Thrones Theories

My fellow Brethren,  I have not raved about my beloved Westerosi’s and Khaleesi’s since last year.

I’ll stop speaking like an 80 year old and get to the point.

So this week George.R.R.Martin’s Proposal letter to HarperCollins about A Song of Ice and Fire hit the internet and I have spent hours staring at this webpage tweaking out details about what will happen in Winds of Winter.  I must say some of these theories have been at the back of my mind for a while and some actually, most are just gibberish which will probably never happen

But hey, you never know with GRRM

This Post contains Spoilers about basically all of Game of Thrones so Get away

Theory #1 Dothraki Master plan

At the end of Dance with Dragons Dany encounters Khal Jhaqo who betrayed her after Drogo’s death. Now in the proposal GRRM mentions that “the Dothraki Invasion will be the central story line of my second volume”. Obviously it hasn’t happened yet but here’s how it might go down:

Dany convinces Khal Jhaqo to join forces with her and since Dany has Dragons and Dragons mean power and the potential that Khal Jhaqo might be barbecued he decides to join her in the quest to conquer Westeros.

But why would she need the Dothraki when she already has the Unsullied?

Well, the original plan was to lead the Dothraki army across the Sea and they are well known to be very good fighters so with the might of the Unsullied and the Dothraki Dany might just be able to regain control. The more the merrier I guess.

So the term “invasion” in my opinion could be taken two ways, one is the Dothraki invading King’s Landing with Dany or the Dothraki invading Meereen with Dany as hostage, although why they would want to do that I do not know. Let’s go with the former it sounds more fancy.

How will Dany convince the Dothraki to cross the Sea though?

I had an insane idea that she might be able to put them all on Dragon-back and FLY! but that sounds a bit far fetched and robust so…do you have any ideas?

Theory #2: R+L= J is BS

Okay from the beginning I have been skeptical about the whole Rhaeger Targaryen and Lyanna Stark secret love affair results in Jon Snow. I mean there are no solid facts, no quotes from GRRM, sure there might be one line in a million but really? I’m not buying it and the article has a rather solid statement that might be on my side.

So apparently Jon and Arya were originally meant to be in love. To be honest I’m not surprised cuz if Cersei and Jaime can happen anything can happen.

Let’s ignore that

cuz the fun part starts when GRRM says:

Their passion will continue to torment Jon and Arya throughout the trilogy, until the secret of Jon’s true parentage is revealed in the last book

So I’m guessing Arya Stark and Jon Snow didn’t exactly feel comfortable with each other knowing they had the same father but when Jon’s true parentage is revealed all changes.

This could either mean that Jon is not a stark AT ALL so Lyanna isn’t the mother. Or it could mean that Jon and Arya simply have a different father and Lyanna is still the mother which would make them cousins, is that better though?

I think Jon’s parents are going to be someone we didn’t expect at all, you know that one spot you overlook and that happens to be THE spot. I think R+L=J has become too predictable at this point. Which, as we all know is very unlike GRRM.

Throey #3: The Big Guns Break the Ice

GRRM mentioned that Dany, Tyrion, Jon, Bran and Arya are the central characters, although Snasa might reserve a spot but that’s a story for another day. The main characters will all join forces to defeat the White Walkers. Now, how are they gonna do that?

First of all, I believe they will all travel North since the White Walkers will probably melt in King’s Landing and that would make for a boring battle. But seriously, I feel like the North is where it all began so it only makes sense if our Heroes travel to the Wall perhaps.

We have many sharp talented minds. Bran’s Sight will provide Foreshadowing as to the Grand Battle, Arya’s clever face-changing abilities might be used to spy, Tyrion’s wit will create the master plan for how to take down the White Walkers, Jon’s command will lead the army and Dany’s Dragons will burn the Beasts down.

That is how I imagine the White Walkers will face their demise.

Although there are many loose ends and questions unanswered one that nags many of us is

A Dragon Has Three Heads.

If Dany is one

We can all establish that Jon is solidly a Targaryen so he might be the second Dragon-Rider.

Who will ride the third Dragon?

That was my petty attempt at Game of Thrones theorizing. there are many epic theories out there that make much more sense but I just felt like I needed to add my voice. Feel to criticise and rule me wrong. I won’t mind, seriously.
